Yes, the date of departure is quickly approaching. The Kellogg Community College Choral Union Touring Choir will depart on June 26th. for an exciting musical adventure along the Amalfi Coast and to Rome Italy. Be sure to follow us on our blog at http://www.kelloggchoirs.wordpress.com for up to the minute details on our adventure. On this blog we will share photo images and video clips from our many adventures. We will also post short clips of pre-concert happenings, singer interviews and perhaps a song or two from the concerts. So… check back daily starting June 26th. for updates!

Below is the daily schedule so that you may travel along with us virtually!

Day One: Depart KCC and Fly to Rome

Day Two: Seeing the sites of the ancient city (Rome)

Day Three: After breakfast, travel back to the city and visit the Vatican. After lunch hit the road to travel along the gorgeous vistas of the Amalfi region.

Day Four: Wakeup in beautiful Sorrento where we shall rehearse, spend the day seeing the sites and travel to Ravello. Our first major concert will take place in the evening at Church of San Michele in Piano di Sorrento. Following our late concert, the choir will return to the hotel and rest up for another full day of activities.

Day Five: The full day will be at leisure for side travel to Capri, walks about town or gardens at the Church of St. Francis, taking a short hydrofoil ride or my favorite…. just sitting back and smelling the enchanting scents of a town full of lemon groves and fresh sea air. After all, we are literally on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Now of course after all of that relaxation, we give our second and final concert of the tour at the gorgeous Church of San Giuseppi in Sat’Agnello.

Day Six: This will be our last full day in Italia and we shall certainly take full advantage by visiting one of the most historic of sites…Pompeii. Here we shall have a guided tour of the recently discovered city which was covered in more than 20ft. of Lava and ash. We shall end our evening with a traditional group meal as a local eatery in Rome.

Day Seven: We must say “Arrivederci Italia!” We board our flight back to the States.

Thats an overview of the upcoming trip.

Ciao-ciao mio amici!!!
